Friday, September 28, 2007 The 2007 sale begins and your son can start taking orders on this day.

Friday, October 31, 2007 Your unit has to turn in its combined popcorn order to the Council service center by NOON on this day. That means that your unit leaders will be collecting your son’s orders a few days before then. Also, for those units who chose the prize method, prize orders are due at this time.

Tuesday, Wednesday, November 4&5, 2007 Units will be picking up the popcorn they ordered at a distrubution site near your unit’s meeting place. Units will have arranged to have all the families meet to pick up their popcorn that your son(s) sold. Scouts should plan to deliver the popcorn to their customers immediately and collect payment at the same time.

Wednesday, December 3, 2007..................................................... Your unit has to turn in the money that is due to the Council Service Center on this day. Your unit leaders will be collecting the money from your son’s popcorn sales a few days before.

January 2008…………………………….…….…Popcorn certificates will be issued to Scouts who sold $200 or more. Also, for those units who choose the prize method, unit popcorn kernels will be distributing the prizes to scouts.

February 2008…………………………….The Sagamore Council will host two popcorn banquets to celebrate a successful popcorn sale. Every Scout who sold $750 or more will be invited to attend as a guest of the Council. For Every Scout who sold $1,500 or more, his parents can also attend as guests of the Council. If a selling unit does not already have a leader attending with a Scout, it may send one leader with their top selling Scout as a guest of the Council.
