Program Planning for 2007-2008

Packs and Troops should take advantage of the slow days and long nights of summer to get together and plan your Unit program for the next year. Sagamore Council calendars have gone out. If you missed them, they will be available at the June Roundtable and at the Trading Post at Cary Camp. When planning your 2007-2008 program remember to plan for the following:

Attend Tecumseh District Activities and Popcorn Sales Recruiting new members
Blue and Gold Banquet for Packs Courts of Honor (4) for Troops Unit Budget Plan
Bowlathon (January – March) Friends of Scouting Presentation Open House
Summer Camp(s) Unit Outings Leader Recruitment
Charter Renewal Scout Sunday/Scout Sabbath Service Projects

As you are planning, remember the words of Baden Powell “a boy is not a sit down animal” and put some variety in your program. Remember also, three quarters of Scouting is Outing and get your Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts to a Council summer camp.
