Membership Recruitment So what is the next step, you might ask? RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT! We need everyone out there to put on their “good ole Boy Scouts of America Recruiting Hats” and RECRUIT LIKE SOMEONE’S LIFE DEPENDS UPON IT. AND WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, SOMEONE’S LIFE DOES. That someone is the youngsters that we recruit into our program. Even a short time as a member of one of our Scouting programs equates to an individual who has been introduced to the core values that will truly make a difference and positively influence them for a lifetime. District Membership Chairman Steve Maynard and his dedicated membership committee are hard at work planning this year’s membership recruitment drive. And if you thought we had a great recruiting year last year - YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET! Each Cub Scout Pack and Boy Troop MUST designate a membership recruitment chair. And with a job to do as important as this, pick your top person to fill this position. That person is then to contact Meshingomesia District Membership Chairman, Steve Maynerd at (765) 384-5797 to arrange for scheduling Boy Talks in the schools and School Night for Scouting Rallies. Also, we are asking each Boy Scout Troop to conduct a Welcome Back to School and Scouting Open House/ Pep Fest. I ask that each of us need to become new unit organizers a.
